ABOUT THE ROLE
Gaming is one of the fastest growing verticals in Web3. We are looking for a business development manager that can help us form the industry strategy and execute against it, establishing LayerZero as the leading digital asset interoperability provider for Web3 gaming. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of blockchain technology, gaming industry trends, and the emerging NFT landscape.

The working environment is fast pace with plenty of ambiguity, change, and odd hours. You have to be okay with that as we continue to grow and mature as an organization.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Strategic Partnership Development: forge and nurture relationships with key players in the gaming and NFT communities, including game developers, publishers, platforms, and content creators.
- Market Analysis: conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and potential business opportunities within the gaming and NFT sectors.
- Deal Negotiation: lead negotiations and structuring of partnerships, agreements, and strategic alliances to drive protocol adoption and market expansion.
- Product Integration: collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of our solutions into gaming platforms and experiences.
- Industry Thought Leadership: stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the Web3 space, and provide insights and recommendations to guide company strategy.
- Community Engagement: engage with industry communities, attend conferences, and represent the company at events to enhance visibility and establish thought leadership in the gaming and NFT ecosystems.
- Metrics Tracking and Reporting: develop and maintain performance metrics to measure the success of partnerships and initiatives, and provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
- Proven track record of 5+ years in business development, partnership management, or related roles within the gaming, technology, or blockchain industries.
- Deep understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and decentralized finance (DeFi).
- Strong network of contacts within the gaming and NFT communities, with the ability to leverage existing relationships to drive business growth.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to take initiative in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Passion for gaming, digital assets, and the potential of Web3 technologies to transform industries and empower creators.
