Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and support to various portfolio companies in relations to operational matters and regulatory/licensing matters
• Advising the group on various investments, incubations, acquisitions, and other major transactions globally, including deal structuring, conducting due diligence, reviewing/drafting transactional agreements, liaise with counterparty counsel, and any other issues that may arise
• Work and liaise closely with various relevant internal and external stakeholders, including both senior management and internal business units and departments on all legal needs
• Structure, draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements and transactional documents
• Monitor and advise the business and management on related legal and regulatory issues
• Work with and manage external law firms where appropriate
• Assist with any special projects or ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Head of Legal

Requirements:

• Newly-qualified to 2-PQE solicitor from any common law jurisdiction
• Candidates with less or different experience may also be considered
• Experience in these areas of laws are preferred but not required: General Commercial, Corporate Finance/Securities, M&A/PE, Funds and Regulatory Compliance
• Knowledge and/or interest in the blockchain industry is preferred but not required
• Interest in working in-house and in a startup environment
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese

This position is full-time and will be working in Hong Kong. Pay will be competitive and based on talent and experience.
