Role Overview
We are looking for a Head of Trading to lead trading strategy and market structure for a new chain. You will design the validator and MEV framework, build products that bring market makers and institutional traders on-chain, and own the relationships that drive liquidity and order flow across the ecosystem. The role spans market microstructure, liquidity strategy, and partnerships across the trading and infrastructure stack — bridging trading desks, builders, searchers, and protocol teams.
Scope of Work
Design new validator and MEV framework for a new chain.
Design products to facilitate onchain experience of market makers and institutional traders
Manage market maker, institutional trader, hedge fund, builder, and searcher
relationships.
Strategize bootstrapping liquidity for assets with high trading demand.
Qualifications
Deep understanding of MEV, PBS, builders, validators, searchers, bundles, private
mempools, and block construction.
Strong knowledge of perp DEX mechanics, order book and AMM market structure.
Hands-on experience with DeFi protocols: Uniswap V3 and V4, PancakeSwap V2 andV3, aggregators, lending, or liquidations.
Familiarity with propAMM, RFQ systems, solver-based architectures, and OTC desk
flows, including order-flow auctions (OFAs) and intent settlement mechanics.
Hands-on experience with on-chain market making and liquidity bootstrapping.
Existing relationships with market makers, institutional trading desks, or liquidity
providers.
Prior experience as an MEV searcher, builder, validator infra engineer, DeFi quant, or protocol researcher.
Familiarity with Flashbots, bloXroute, private RPCs, builder APIs, or mev-share-like
systems.
Published research, open-source tools, or prior production systems related to MEV.
Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to engineering, trading, risk, and
leadership teams.
