BNB Chain is establishing a dedicated AI function to position the network as the leading execution layer for agentic finance. The Head of AI will define the Foundation's AI strategy, build the ecosystem partnerships and developer relationships required to make BNB Chain the default infrastructure for AI agents operating in financial markets, and represent BNB Chain in the global conversation on AI × blockchain. This is a senior, externally facing leadership role spanning strategy, ecosystem development, and thought leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and own BNB Chain's AI strategy — identifying the highest-leverage opportunities at the intersection of AI and on-chain finance, and translating that into a concrete roadmap of partnerships, integrations, and ecosystem initiatives

• Build and maintain relationships with AI labs, agent framework developers, agentic payments platforms, and decentralised compute networks to position BNB Chain as the preferred execution layer for AI-driven financial workflows

• Drive BNB Chain's participation in emerging AI × blockchain standards — including agentic payments protocols, MCP function call frameworks, and agent identity and permission systems

• Identify and onboard AI-native projects into the BNB Chain ecosystem — covering agent frameworks, decentralised GPU compute, AI training data infrastructure, and agentic DeFi protocols

• Work closely with the product and engineering teams to ensure BNB Chain's developer tooling, APIs, and smart contract infrastructure are compatible with major AI development environments including Claude Code and OpenAI Codex

• Serve as BNB Chain's primary public voice on AI strategy — speaking at industry events, publishing research, hosting ecosystem content, and representing the Foundation in AI × blockchain policy discussions

• Monitor and assess the competitive AI strategies of peer blockchain foundations, identifying gaps and opportunities for BNB Chain to differentiate

• Develop a clear thesis on where agentic finance is heading — defining which agent archetypes, use cases, and infrastructure layers BNB Chain should prioritise and why

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in AI, venture investment, or blockchain ecosystem development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or strategy capacity

• Deep understanding of the AI agent stack — LLM capabilities and limitations, function call and MCP execution frameworks, agent wallet architecture, and the infrastructure required for reliable autonomous financial operations

• Existing relationships within the AI developer community — agent framework builders, AI lab partnerships teams, decentralised compute networks, and agentic payments platforms

• Track record of identifying and closing strategic ecosystem partnerships, ideally spanning both AI and blockchain

• Strong public communicator with the ability to articulate a coherent AI thesis to developers, institutions, and policymakers in plain language

• Genuine intellectual curiosity about where AI and on-chain finance intersect — this role requires original thinking, not just execution of a predefined playbook
