BNB Chain is building a dedicated trading function to become the leading venue for professional on-chain trading. The Trading Lead will build and manage the team, infrastructure, and institutional relationships required to attract quant funds, proprietary trading firms, and market makers from centralised exchanges onto BNB Chain.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary relationship owner for professional trading firms, market makers, and institutional counterparties onboarding to BNB Chain

• Design and deliver real-time and historical market data APIs across all BNB Chain trading venues perpetuals, AMMs, and CLOBs — in formats familiar to professional trading desks

• Own the end-to-end transaction execution stack, continuously optimising for landing rate and latency parity with centralised exchange venues

• Establish proactive monitoring of network performance, transaction reliability, and individual trader health metrics

• Oversee co-location infrastructure, data warehousing, and analytics systems required for institutional-grade trading operations

• Produce technical documentation and market structure research that reduces onboarding friction for trading professionals from traditional finance

• Evaluate and implement emerging improvements to on-chain execution quality, including batch auction mechanisms, MEV optimisation, and streaming data architectures

• Identify, map, and continuously track the distinct infrastructure and execution requirements of each target trader segment: high-frequency trading firms, proprietary trading desks, algorithmic market makers, quantitative hedge funds, crypto prime brokers, retail algorithmic traders, and TradFi firms entering on chain markets

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in trading infrastructure, exchange technology, or market microstructure at a trading firm, exchange, prime broker, or high-volume on-chain protocol, with at least 3 years in a leadership or team management capacity

• Strong working knowledge of on-chain execution mechanics — block construction, MEV, validator architecture, and transaction routing

• Proven experience building and leading high-performance technical teams with a disciplined approach to hiring and output quality

• Established network within the professional trading community — proprietary trading firms, algorithmic market makers, crypto prime brokers, or institutional quant funds

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across both trading and engineering audiences
